  • Torque Model Tables for Shifting on 4Runner?

Since the transmission is controlled by a separate processor, will updates to the the Toque model tables change any of the shift points? I'm assuming torque and engine load play into the shifting somehow so I'm curious if this might be a way to do something with shifting to allow it to hold 5th gear a bit longer before it shifts down. The 4runner is notorious for vacillating between 5th and 4th on the highway vs. just hunkering down and staying in 5th and letting the car travel a bit deeper into the throttle range.

If so, any insight which of the two tables have that influence and any recommended starting points?
