VFTuner has it, but it won't be available until Version 1.5.0.

Hola All, I am currently running 4B41 with the 2.0 tune pack purchased and flashed about a year ago. I have been reading through the forums in an effort to get up to speed on the TSB update process - thank you to all of the contributors for the knowledge, but one question remains: If I perform the TSB update to 4B42, do I need to purchase the updated version of the tune pack?

No. If you reach out to VFTuner with a Zendesk Support Ticket, he will update your Tune Pack. Although, 04B42 does not have vF Tune support yet. A lot of us are waiting on that Tune Pack release.

Some folks have flashed 04B42 and have had some fun editing the Stock file that is in the installation folder. Nowhere near as good as the vF Tunes though.

              You're welcome!

VFTuner was talking about Stock Tune support. Those are in the vF installation folders. Therefore, the ECUs are supported. vF Tunes are just not released yet, i.e. no Tune Packs.

This should be the thread to pay attention to, along with the Forum Announcements:

first page shows 2021 04C20 has a tsb and an update file that renames the file 04C21.
is this the case, the cal file needs updated by dealer?
mat says he's unaware of an update for that file.
truck was just at dealer for service and they didn't mention an update.
trying to get this sorted out.

it's not required for tuning. None of them *have* to be updated to tune

I have a 21 that came with the 04C20. Ran OVTune without issue. Once I heard they had released 04C21, I waited for the updated OVTune for it. When I got confirmation it was released, I performed the update to 04C21 then did the OVTune. Been running fine since then and have driven about 6k miles on the updated tune. Of course looking forward to playing further with the EROM 1.2 update. Thanks for building this and for all who do the testing.

                  • I am currently running the 2.0 tune pak on my 2016 MT. Calibration is 04b13.

I just upgraded to the latest vftuner. Can I update the ECU calibration to 04b14 using vftuner, or do I need to use techstream?

Not yet. That will go live with Version 1.6.0. See the Change Log thread.

04B14 is a very noticeable improvement for both Stock and Tuned.
