Also, any version of TS will kickoff the Flash Wizard. You only need V15 for Customizations and diagnostics.
Okay good to know about it not being live. I had thought that I could use any techstream version for flashing TSBs, but a lot of guys over on TW swear up and down that V15 or newer was required for the 04c21 update. I have not tried it since I didnt want to waste a clients time by meeting up just to experiment.

The amount of bad info out there is unreal. About the only difference that I have noticed is that the voltage requirements keep getting higher. V14 is 11.8v min. V15 is 12.0v.

And when are we looking at that? Can we just maybe get them released in regular (non-ultimate) format so we can do our own tunes? Just stock file would be greatly valued for the masses.

I'm pretty sure it won't be just in ultimate format. I think VFTuner is just waiting to do a "mass release" so to speak. Of course, I could be wrong.

But I'm with you 100%, I don't want ultimate as much as I just want a TP for 04B82. At least not yet, I don't have the time right now to be learning all the new features and potentially bricking my ECU, even if it's an easy fix now.

There is no timeframe. It happens when it happens. I'm waiting on them, the same as every other customer.

Thanks for the update, I was just confused since VFTuner posted on FB that there was support… I just didn’t want to miss anything.

Stock ECU support not vF Tunes.

I have what I hope is a quick/easy question about the TSB and then update tune to the latest version next week, and I am wondering if there are any negative experiences updating at the same time? I ask because I read the first page of this forum noticed in the instructions it mentioned driving the truck for 500 after TSB update to smooth out the tune. Is that necessary/required, or more of an option or best practice? Is the smooth out process more about getting the "learned values" back up, and to update my tune would hurt that process? Appreciate any thoughts/feedback - thx

you can flash a tune immmediately after updating via TSB. You just have to let the trims settle *after* you have flashed the tune.

Really the only negative of using techstream is you can soft-brick your ECU. But our software can recover it.

So I am a little confused. I have 2016 at on 04bo4, is this the most up to date for my truck?

As of right now, yes. Although, there is 04B05 out in the wild. We just do not have a way to upgrade to it yet and it is not yet supported in vF.
