I’ve been getting a “communication/ ECU unlock invalid” error when in the process of trying to flash my ECU. Is there something that I missed on my part if anyone had this issue before?

I've got the same issue. Sent an email to support regarding the problem last week.

What version of the flasher are you using?
car make / model year / etc?

File you are trying to flash MATCHES your ECU ID?

Currently getting a "TOpenPort error [no devices available]" message.

This happened with the calibrate ECU button as well as just the simple reset ECU button. I can still use the old flash tool [1.3.2], so there's no problem with the file or other hardware.
